When it comes to getting shirts made - whether for your business, school, or event - screen printing might seem simple: send a design, get shirts back. But the difference between any print shop and one run by real artists is night and day.
At Native Wylde, we see screen printing as more than a service - it’s an art form rooted in craftsmanship, creativity, and passion.
Here’s a quick Q&A to help you understand the process and why working with artists truly matters.
What’s the screen printing process like?
It starts with your idea. Whether you already have artwork or just a concept, we help bring it to life. Once your design is finalized, the artwork is cleaned up, sharpened, and scaled to the print size you’ve specified. Each color is separated and burned onto its own screen - like a stencil.
Ink is then pressed through the mesh screens layer by layer, creating bold, lasting prints that feel as good as they look. In short, we tear your art apart - and rebuild it one layer at a time from the ground up.
The way this is done makes all the difference. Bad art reproduction, low resolution, and poor separations lead to poor results. That’s why we spend serious time in our pre-press department, because that’s the foundation of every great print. If it’s done wrong, the shirts will never be as good as they can be!
We can do just about anything with screen printing - from monochromatic images to 4-color process, spot color, or simulated process printing. The sky’s the limit.
And if you’re a little Wylde and full of imagination? That’s where things get fun. We can combine methods to create truly unique looks - like using a discharge base on a black tee, layering CMYK inks for a vintage pop-art vibe, adding neon pink and golden yellow highlights that scream disco fever, and topping it off with glow-in-the-dark details so it looks completely different when the lights go out.
When it comes to creativity, we walk down whichever road inspiration takes us - and we encourage our customers to do the same. If you’re repping your art, club, or business, make it rad. Just make sure your screen print connection is solid - because all that creativity deserves to shine.
How do I place an order?
It’s easy:
Send us your idea or logo. We can work with finished artwork or create something from scratch.
Pick your garments. We’ll help you choose from tons of styles, colors, and brands.
Approve your proof. You’ll get a digital mockup before printing begins, so you know exactly what to expect.
And honey - you’ll never hear us say, “that design needs to be a vector!” We just don’t talk like that. We’re artists. We can take your low-resolution art and turn it into print-ready gold.
You can even bring in a painting you did on canvas - we’ll shoot a photo, fine-tune the hues, scale it, manually separate the colors, and boom - rock ’n’ roll tees from your original masterpiece.
We take every order seriously and make sure it looks incredible. Art prep can take hours or days, but it’s worth it. That’s where the magic happens. Most orders are ready in 7 - 10 business days, even with the extra time we spend making sure your shirts come out the best they possibly can.
Why is it better to work with a company that has artists in charge of your project?
Because great printing starts with great design.
When your printer understands composition, color theory, and balance, your shirts stand out. Real artists see beyond the technical side - they know how to make your logo or message feel alive.
We make sure every line, shade, and color enhances your message. Whether it’s for a brand, a school, or a cultural event, that artistic eye makes your apparel not just wearable, but memorable.
Your art is your vision - and it’s our duty as printers and artists to bring that vision to life exactly how you imagined it. It’s all about communication, too. That’s why we take the time to understand your project and give it the attention it deserves.
If OKC chooses us to print their merch, we owe it to them to give our best - every single time.
Why does it matter? - Because art carries meaning.
At Native Wylde, every print reflects our respect for creativity, community, and the artist, brand, or business behind it. Working with artists means your design isn’t just printed - it’s crafted.
You get originality, story, and style in every piece. And when you wear something made by artists, you’re supporting creativity, authenticity, and small business craftsmanship - not just production.
We’re not just printers - we’re artists and storytellers. Every project we take on, big or small, gets the same care and attention.
We value:
Artistry over automation
Relationships over transactions
Authenticity over imitation
If you’re ready to create something bold and meaningful, we’re ready to help.
